云天收夏色，木叶动秋声。转眼，酷夏呼啸而过，孩子们愉快的暑假也结束了。
同样与我们挥别的，还有让这个夏天格外热烈的东京奥运会，振奋着全世界的神经，也宽慰着我们每颗深受全球疫情困扰的焦灼之心。感谢运动员们用激情点燃这个难忘的夏天！
运动员们在东京奥运会无数振奋而动人的瞬间，向我们展示了太多的美与勇：超越自我的美，自信舒展的美，饱满生命的美…… 逆风翻盘的勇，勇于突破的勇，创造奇迹的勇……
2021年9月1日，唯诗礼幼儿园为以感受奥运魅力与体育精神为契机，以养成爱运动的好习惯为目标，带孩子们开启了丰富多彩的新学期，续写更多的成长故事……
The air filled with a mix of summer and autumn smells, the sky of the clearest blue – the day we were all excitedly waiting for during the long summer holidays is finally here. It’s time to go back to the kindergarten to make new friends, reunite with old friends, learn new things and have fun!
The new year has begun and Wesley has welcomed it in with a new theme – the Olympic Games. Many of us watched the Tokyo Olympics this summer, rooting for our athletes, sharing their joys and sorrows and feeling proud of their achievements. We decided we could all be like them and organize our own Olympics. And because everybody knows that it’s participation that matters most, we promised ourselves to take part in all activities, even if they were new and challenging. The slogan of the day was: Be Your Own Champion!
Chapter1. 奥运欢迎总动员
“早上好！”，一声声嘹亮的问候，一张张灿烂的笑脸，道出了孩子的满心欢喜。开学第一天，老师们身着唯诗礼运动服，精神饱满地在幼儿园大门欢迎孩子们回园。虽然疫情还未结束，但所有师生家长都做好个人防护，全力配合疫情常态化防控要求。
Some of our little Wesleyers woke up earlier than birds today, packed their schoolbags and rushed to the kindergarten to start the new term. The teachers were already waiting at the gate, all wearing uniforms and beaming with cheerful smiles, ready to envelop our little athletes in huge hugs.
唯诗礼小朋友们快乐入园的秘诀是什么？在开学前两周，唯诗礼的老师们就已经开始跟班里的每一位孩子进行情感联结了。小朋友们或选择家访，或选择来到升班后的新教室和老师温馨约见，大家对新学期充满着期待。
Those of us who had new teachers invited them to our homes but many of us chose to come to the kindergarten during the holidays to see the new classrooms and could not wait to continue exploring them today. But first, of course, there were a lot of things to discover in the reception hall. We were simply overjoyed to pose in sportsmen costumes because one day we’ll be just like them!
一楼大厅处传欢声笑语，原来是打卡拍照和互动体验的环节，小朋友们模仿运动员的运动姿势，跃跃欲试的模样可爱极了！
Laughter spread in the hall on the first floor. It turned out to be a link of punch in photography and interactive experience. The children imitated the athletes’ Sports posture and were eager to try. It was very cute!
经过一个暑假，我们都长个子了，快来和奥运冠军比一比身高吧！
After a summer vacation, we become taller. Come and compare our height with the Olympic champion!
Chapter2. 传承奥运精神
早上9点，各班在操场集合，开学典礼正式开始。伴随着庄严的国歌，国旗冉冉升起。
接着，我们可爱的老师和孩子们跳起活力热身操！孩子们热情高涨，活力满满！
No Olympic event can properly happen without a warm opening ceremony and Wesley prepared a truly spectacular one. Little athletes stood in neat little rows watching teacher Michael raise the flag and sang the National Anthem. Then we all joined our beautiful and talented TAs in the morning dance. It’s a special kind of happiness to dance together with friends on a warm September morning.
Then we all went to the Multifunctional Room and watched the performance by Chinese teachers, laughed at the video prepared by the English teachers and listened in awe to our Principal and two of our little Wesleyers give speeches.

The children’s representative of K3 class confidently told everyone that we are K3 now!
开学典礼上，于宝兰园长热烈欢迎孩子们返园，祝贺孩子们长大了一岁，迈入了新的成长阶段，表达对孩子们新学期的期待。
At the opening ceremony, Baolandy warmly welcomed the children back to the kindergarten, congratulated the children on growing up for one year and entering a new stage of growth, and expressed her expectations for the children in the new semester.
接着，外教老师们用轻松好玩儿的视频展示了火炬接力过程。跌倒了不怕，输了没关系，坚持就是胜利。最后火炬由Michael老师传递到现场，圣火将由唯诗礼的小朋友们传递下去。他们稚嫩的声音，灿烂的笑容告诉大家：我们是未来的主角。
Then, the foreign teachers showed the torch relay process with fun videos. If you fall, you are not afraid. It doesn’t matter if you lose. Persistence is victory. Finally, the torch will be delivered to the scene by teacher Michael, and the flame will be delivered by the children of weishili. Their young voices and bright smiles tell the world that we are the protagonists in the future.
Chapter3. 奥运猜猜猜
还记得创意十足的东京奥运运动图标吗？今天老师们用创意舞蹈的形式重新演绎了这些图标，你能猜出来这是哪些运动项目吗？
We felt we were well prepared for the game because our teachers introduced the map to us and invited us to guess what events there were. We were able to guess all of them and then it was time for the fun to begin!
Chapter4. 我是小小运动员
奥运会不仅让小朋友们认识和了解了更多的体育运动项目，也让大家更多地热爱和参与到体育运动中去，锻炼身体，增强体质。让我们一起成为唯诗礼运动小达人吧！
Once the starting whistle blew, Wesley indoors and outdoors became alive with radiant smiles, confident postures, incredible feats of teamwork and speed. These new sportsmen are not afraid of challenges, they are ready to try hard, they represent the future and the future looks bright.
运动固然重要，更重要的是我们如何在运动中保护自己。刘医生为我们的健康保驾护航哦！
Of course, sports are important. What is more important is how we protect ourselves in sports. Dr. Liu escorts our health!

随着奥运的落幕，慢慢地，运动健儿的身影也许会淡出我们的日常生活。但他们身上那些自律的、精进的、不断挑战自己的美会深深留在我们的脑海中。

With the end of the Olympic Games, slowly, the figure of athletes may fade out of our daily life. But their self disciplined, progressive and constantly challenging beauty will remain deeply in our minds.
May all children who are only poetic and polite, with the blessings of all parents and teachers in the new semester, let your healthy physique and positive Olympic spirit grow with you, be your own champion and be yourself!
