Children’s day at Wesley
As we say goodbye to the month of May, we also say a big hello to blue skies, fresh breeze and sunny days of June. The first day of June was welcomed in with style by Wesley Kindergarten as we celebrated Children’s Day festival today. Although the recent epidemic meant that our activities had to be altered slightly to ensure the safety of all everyone at our kindergarten, we were still able to create a magical, fun and engaging children’s day to share together. Would you like to see what fun ang games we got up to today? Well follow our pictures below to experience children’s day with us.
A greeting from our principal
Our children’s day festivities began with a welcoming introduction from our wonderful hosts, teacher Qiuqiu and Teacher Adrian, and a special children’s day blessing from Principal Baolandy. In her address Principal Baolandy reminded us that we should enjoy the day’s activities while also paying attention to our safety and the safety of others. Our Principal also praised us for being “principled and balanced inquires” and wished us happiness and love.
Special Blessing from our parents
Is that our Mommies and Daddies in the video? How can that be? It turns out that our Mommies and Daddies recorded a surprise video to wish us a happy children’s day in kindergarten. “I love you!”
Let the fun begin!
Then it was time to begin the fun in our classrooms. Each classroom was set up with multiple games and activities to enjoy. The teachers briefly explained the activities happening in their respective classrooms and split the children into small groups. Everyone was super excited to get started!
Look! K1A children have lots of with blindfolds, hula hoops, and making animal windmills.
Wow, in K1B the children played catch the tail, dancing and bowling. Look at how we get ready to play!
Amazing! It turns out that there are a lot of little artists hiding in Wesley Kindergarten. Just look at the beautiful art works K2A children made today.
“Wow, what a good shot!” K2B children enjoyed their football match outside with teacher Michael – “we are so happy!”
In the classroom children are making little windmills that we can’t wait to see blowing in the wind.
“All the bowling pins down” – K2C plays bowling with Teachers Ruben and Momo.
‘We won because we are a great team!’ say the winners of ‘Three-legged race’ in K3A’s class.
“Rainbow Umbrella,” “Handcrafting,” “Corn tunnel,” “Egg Drop” … Every activity is in full swing! We can hear the sound of warm cheers and laughter from the K3B classroom.
Remember to stay hydrated
Kids take a water break after a morning full of nonstop action and fun!
On this warm June morning we must remember to drink plenty of water to keep our bodies healthy and happy so we can continue to play with our classmates.
Make a wish!
One of the activities that we had in every classroom was writing a wish card. As it was children’s day today, every child had to chance to share their wish with their teachers and the teacher helped to write it down on our special wish cards. Once our wishes were written down, we kept them in a safe place so that we could take them home to share with our parents after kindergarten.
A special gift for a special day
As the morning’s activities came to a close, there was one more surprise left for the children – our gifts! Our teachers handed out our special children’s day gift to everyone and the kindergarten was full of smiles and laughter.
Today was a day that let us all share the love and share the joy of being a child every day.
Happy Children’s Day
Hey, it’s our special day
To spread love, happiness
And to enjoy the treats,
Dancing to the twinkling rhythm
